Wavelength Selection Method Based on Absorbance Value Optimization to Near-Infrared Spectroscopic Analysis

Regarding absorption spectrum, high corresponds to low light transmittance and relatively loud noise, whereas information content, which interferes with the modeling of spectral analysis. Appropriate absorbance level is necessary improve content reduces noise level. In this study, based on selection upper lower bounds absorbance, value optimization partial least squares (AVO-PLS) method was proposed for appropriate wavelength model selection. Near-infrared spectroscopic analysis hyperlipidemia indicators, namely, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), conducted validate predicted performance AVO-PLS. Well-performed methods, moving-window PLS (MW-PLS) continuous type-and successive projections algorithm (SPA) discrete type, were also comparison. The spectra first corrected using Savitzky–Golay smoothing. Modeling performed multiple partitioning calibration prediction sets avoid data over-fitting achieve parameter stability. selected ranged from 0.45 0.86 TC 0.92 TG, corresponding waveband combinations 1,376–1,388 1,560–1840 nm 1,376–1,390 1,552–1,846 TG. Among them, combination TG covers TC’s one, can be used high-precision cooperativity two indicators. Using independent validation samples, RMSEP R P 0.164 mmol l −1 0.990 0.096 0.997 obtained by model. And sensitivity specificity 98.0 100%, respectively. These values better than those MW-PLS SPA. Importantly, AVO-PLS a novel multi-band approach improving applicability. This expected obtain more applications.
